May 15, 2008: I'm starting a new series of photographs,
which will highlight various Indiana/Indianapolis residents who
are unexpected, interesting, edgy, creative, inspiring —
basically, I want to talk to anybody that you wouldn't expect
to meet, especially in Indiana.
Do you fit the bill? (Or do you know someone that does?) Please
let me know if so! You can contact me at sbarnesphoto@gmail.com.
April 5, 2008: I'm still seeking
men, all ages, all body types, to participate in my new series,
called, The
Habits of Male Primates. If you've ever wanted to participate
in a fine-art series and aren't shy about showing your body, call
me. Or even if you're just intrigued and want more details, feel
free to call, as well.
March 17, 2008: Is your band in need of new
photos? For the first six months of 2008, I'm
offering to shoot promotional photos for bands and musicians at
60% off my regular sitting fees. Contact me to make an appointment.
January 06, 2008: On January 12th, I will be
in Chicago for a photo shoot early in the day. If you are in the
Chicago area and would like to have an afternoon shoot with me
or participate in the photo shoots, The Habits of Male Primates,
please don't hesitate to let me know.

To me, a good photograph captures spirit and movement, whether it's of a person, a building, or a cornfield. It's more than a "picture of something," but a moment in life. More . . .
Shooting locationsI have an amazing studio in my home, which is near Ft. Benjamin Harrison State Park and other places that are great for photos. Weather and time permitting, we can shoot outside as well as in the studio. I also enjoy shooting on location in Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, or downtown. More

"Scott has been by far one of my favorite photographers
that I've come across in the Midwest. He knows how to make the stress
that is usually straining for 'the perfect shot' into a comfortable
session where you can relax and take pictures honestly. More
