Some words from the photographer To me, a good photograph captures spirit and movement, whether it's of a person, a building, or a cornfield. It's more than a "picture of something," but a moment in life. That said, you won't find me at a shoot asking my subjects to sit tall, tilt your head to the left and say cheese. I believe a photo session is interactive, so my goal is to uncover your personality and get you to react to me, because those reactions are what I'm going to capture. As a photographer, I run into so many people with self-image problems. And yet what comes across my camera lens is never an unattractive person, but a person who is afraid of not being attractive enough. So here's the deal: If I'm photographing you, I think you're beautiful. It's that simple. And let's leave our hang-ups at the door. I currently live in Indianapolis and have a studio in my home. At times, I work with natural light because I love the consistent but always-changing, unpredictable aspect of it; other times I work with studio lights. In both cases, I work hard to create intimate, comfortable environments for my subjects, and the equipment will never get in the way. If you're interested in portraits that are inspiring and display-worthy
or headshots that will show your true character, I'd love to work with
you. Bring music you enjoy, wear your favorite clothes (black, whites,
and prints are fine), and please feel free to discuss anything you have
on your mind with me. Contact me for answers to your questions and let's
set something up. |

Scott About me I have had the pleasure of photographing New York and LA based actors, Chicago and LA based models, musicians, opera singers, dancers, competitive bodybuilders, business professionals, and many other interesting people. I specialize in headshots, editorial portraits, and male fine art figure studies — the later because it irritates me that 2,500 years after the Greeks were carving nude figure studies of Apollo and Poseidon, today a male figure study is often quickly dismissed as pornographic. I'd like to play a part in changing that because I believe humanity and the human body are, in their natural states, beautiful. Works of art. More:
